Good food, but it took 25 mins to get it after order...would be helpful if they told you lead time so can plan at lunch...

My wife and myself always call in before a match and as well as the good food ,we enjoy the craic with other regulars. Any complaints about waiting a while for your food -well good quality food is worth waiting for at a reasonable cost, just get there in good time before a match.

Small cafe style place. Not a load of seating but the welcome was incredible and the menu is ridiculous everything you want homemade burgers dirty fries, a currito and pies. Couldn't recommend more

So pleased this place has opened locally to me. We both had the Full English for £6 each and coffee. Really good quality breakfast, levels above your usual cafe or spoons brekkie, coffee as good as you'll get anywhere. Spot on value at that price as well and the people running it obviously know exactly what they are doing - great service.

I have visited a couple of times and it was spot on on both occasions. Don't get me wrong - it's not the fanciest of places but the people are most welcoming and the food is very good indeed with what I thought were pretty generous portions. Well worth a visit. Two thumbs up.

I tried the Roker End Cafè by chance. I was at the sold-out play-off semi-final second leg game against Coventry, and before the match there were huge queues everywhere for food. They seemed to be the most efficient with quick preparation of food and the shortest queue. I was not disappointed. They do a £7.50 pie + chips + side deal, so I scoffed a corned beef pie + chips + mushy peas combo. Or rather I tried to scoff, the portions were huge so the odd chip was left over. Everything is very well organised, the food is served in a container with a fork and around the corner there is an informal bench where you can sit down. Sure, I doubt the place will win any fine dining awards but the grub was tasty and did the job.
